What is your hardiness zone?

On several occasions, I've been asked what is the most important factor of trying to grow something? My answer is easy, KNOW YOUR HARDINESS ZONE!

The 2012 USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones.

If you are a zone 3 or 4 and try to grow zone 8 veggies or flowers outdoors, you are most likely not going to be successful. Saying this, you may be able to adapt your growing and be successful by using any of the following; growing indoors, USING GROW LIGHTS,  HYDROPONICS, ETC.

HAPPY GROWING!

Check your zone using this link or go to the USDA  plant hardiness website https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/PHZMWeb/# What is your hardiness zone? What are some of your successes that other said you wouldn't be able to do?
